Powell Hall

 Yesterday, I had a concert at Powell Symphony Hall (the St. Louis version of Carnegie Hall). The Compton Heights Concert Band invited AYS Chamber to their annual Christmas Pops Spectacular Concert (copied exactly from the letter we got months ago). We had two shows, 2:00 and 8:00. In between, I went to Barnes & Noble with the Tillmans. They had this amazing 9 year old trumpet prodigy. His name was Geoffrey. To quote Andrew, Kristen kept hitting on him (i.e. she called him cute every five seconds.) Mostly, we hung out in the breakroom, watching four people play Bach Double. It was so awesome!!!!!!!! (I got hit in the head with a trumpet =] )

ISYM Scholarship Song

The Big Red Sucker

 Today, at lunch, Andy the Rich and Creepy Jerk found a sucker on the ground. Apparently, he did something to it (and I have a pretty good idea what) then threw it over to our table. Something happened and a fragment landed somewhere on me- at least, that's what I thought. My "friends" told me it was in my hair. So, I grabbed Eileen's baggie (which still had sun chips in it) and rubbed it all over my head for a long time. They finally decided to tell me that it wasn't on my head. I was mad for a minute, but I love them all- IN A GOOD WAY!, so I couldn't stay mad. Then, Andy tossed the whole sucker over. Shekinah (how did you know it would be her?) threw it on my head, and I freaked out. Mr. Hetge told us all that there was, "Too much commotion at our table." Then he told the entire house that, "We have to act like students of Alton Middle School." So, basically, that means fight, yell at each other and cuss. We had a bunch of kids from like everywhere.
 Just goes to show what kind of life I have.

 Okay, so, you may or may not know about Nightowl/Liz, the human girl Alec was in love with. Well, apparently, Jane the Sadist found out about it. She told Aro the Rapist about it, and apparently-well, what did Caius do to Irina? Exactly. So Alec and Jane had this huge fight and disowned each other. Now who should I side with? The cutest fictional character on Earth, or the evil little vampire child who can cause me pain by looking at me? (BTW, sorry for bothering you with my rantings.) Miss Boy Crazy's gonna have to side with Alec. Sorry, Little_Sadist.

YeSHterday/Thanksgiving

 For Thanksgiving, I got to go to Marquette Park to be with my Russian grandmother, Anastasiya/Betty, and all of my wonderful loaded cousins. The only ones who are decently middle class are Freddy and Chris (yes, Eileen. Those cousins.) At the beginning, I just kinda hung around, looking for someone I knew (I'm kinda out of the loop Hornsey-family wise. Not that my last name's Hornsey or anything...it's my mom's side....*self conscious*) Hhehe...that reminds me, at school on Tuesday, we were playing charades in Science. It was my turn. I got "Subway." So I just kinda walked around. Everyone guessed "self conscious". Anyway...my family is freaking huge. My grandma and grandpa, George, had 9 kids, who married and had kids, some of which have married and had kids...or just had kids...anyway...there were 50 people there, and some didn't show up. There were 12 under four! For lunch, I had cookies. And pudding in a really cool glass...I'm distracted right now. See, at Target, I really wanted to get "The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Prisoners Dilemna," but my mom kinda freaked out when I told her...like, "Crap. If she buys it now...what are we gonna do in 28 days?" And you know what's in 28 days... ANYWAY! After lunch, we went swimming. I started talking to my favorite cuz in the hot tub...115 degrees! I got out, got dressed, etc. By then, all the food had been set out in Grandma's room. I went down to the huge lobby thing (seriously! Why do they call that "the lobby"? Anybody who's been there knows...) I basically read "The Magician" start to finish. Then, I had a long overdue clue rematch with my cousin Christopher (same one from earlier.) I won...finally. See, this thing's been going on since I was in second grade...I'm in middle school now...Oh, there was something completely adorable that I completely forgot about! I have a little cousin, Morgan, who's 4. My neice, Reese, was sleeping on the bed. Morgan was sitting with her, talking to me. Reesey started to squirm and woke up. So, Morgan started singing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" to put Pieces back to sleep. It was so cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Veteran's Day

 So, today was Veteran's Day.
 We didn't have any school. It's been really boring. All I've heard is, "Poor Madee...Awww Madee...Madee..." Oh yeah, you can't forget, "Yeah...I do care, but I'm going to pretend like I don't cuz that's what you do to me."
 But I'm perfectly happy.
 Especially since I just got Mountain Dew.
 Today, exactly one year ago, I acted like a complete nerd and stayed up all night to read the Titan's Curse.
 I used a vault.
 I'm not allowed to do that anymore...
 The baby went to the doctor cuz she randomly shakes all the time. My parents won't tell us what's wrong with her, though...
 I'm scared.
 Wow. I'm being very bi-polar.
 And now I'm mad. Cuz someone's a liar. And I'm not gonna kill Kristen anymore.

IMEA

Remember that one thing I auditioned for, IMEA? We had the concert/eternal practice today. We had to be at school at 6:45 in the morning. Then we went all the way to Edwardsville, where I found out that I was in 13th chair. Then we practiced until 11:00, where we went and ate giant cookies in the cafeteria. Kristen still owes me $5 because I asked a bunch of high school guys if they would open a vitamin water thing. We went back and practiced some more. This time, though, everyone was tired and people *cough*Kaela*cough* were dragging like crazy. We went to the concert at 3:30. I completely failed on Tanzun, but I think I did okay on the rest. Then the chorus kids went. They sounded freaking amazing (I swear I'm not biased. They did sound awesome.). Then we listened to the band kids' 3 songs with, like, 5 movements each. Now I'm home, on the couch, violating Amanda's laptop. My back is killing me.

Middle School

 I freaking hate middle school right now. Two of my best friends are having this huge fight.

My bf Devin says he's gonna jump into the middle of the picture.

Dragon Fable

So, there's this awesome game. I have no idea if I've ever mentioned it.
 It's called Dragon Fable. You make a character and then go on a few quests and level up. Then you go through this whole quest chain and get your dragon egg. Then, you sucker your parents into buying you a Dragon Amulet (this thing you need for special quests, items, and to basically do anything in the game) upgrade card and level up to level 18 and then die.
 That's what happened to me anyway.
 Oh yeah, I forgot to mention writing an entire fanfiction about it (where I'm the main character, I might add.)

So, this morning, I had to be at school at 6:45 a.m. because I was auditioning for the IMEA (Illinois Music Educators Association) District VI festival. After I auditioned, Madison bought me a pickle. I was eating it, and the juice spilled on my pants! They weren't jeans, either. So, I basically smell like a pickle right now. Madison will never let me live that one down.

“Okay.” Alec didn’t walk off to talk to Aro, like Emiliana expected him to. He bit his lip and trained his eyes on his fingers. “Um, there’s something I wanted to ask you…”
“Yes?”
“Well, you know the dance they’re having at the town square next week?”
“Err…no. Why does nobody tell me anything?”
Alec tried to smile, but it looked more like a grimace. “Well, would you like to go with me? Err, as friends?” He added the last bit for her benefit.
“Sure.”
Alec blinked in surprise, then he managed a smile. He turned away and ran down the corridor.
Emiliana waited until she was sure Alec was out of earshot, then she screamed, “YES!”
The only one who heard her was the snickering observer.

Finally.
I guess that’s not bad for a twelve year old.

Hey peeps! So it's a new year, an old story, and several new e-mail addresses. For those of you who don't know, whose e-mail address I didn't have, or who just blatantly ignored anything from me that looked like a story (yay for random titles!), last year, I did a bunch of stories. The end of the year story finale was a multi part story about a princess and a good witch who go to rescue the handsome prince (a.k.a. Joe) from the evil monster Trogdor (a.k.a. Jamie). I never finished the series. Me, Madison, Tori, and Hope basically made it up in orchestra. But anyway...Part 5!!!!!!!!!!!

"We have to save Joe before the evil Trogdor kills him," said Princess Maddy Bo.
"I know," said the witch, Eileen. "Maybe we should ask your mom."

Alec's Love-My First Fanfiction

Disclaimer: I’m not going to put this on every chapter, so remember: God doesn’t give me dreams at night about stories, so I don’t own Twilight.

Okay, I completely redid the story. I wrote it in a notebook months ago and lost it. I was playing it by ear, but then I found the notebook under my bed (surprise, surprise). The quality’s bad, because I was writing for my own enjoyment. So, here goes!

Italy, 1432
The human girl was sitting at a crossroads.
Her black hair flowed down to her waist. She was wearing a stormy grey velvet gown, very expensive, so why was she sitting on her own?
She was writing something, so maybe that was why she was here: a project for her tutor.
But the person who was watching her had never seen her before. Alec had thought he know everyone in Italy. It was time to expand his knowledge.
As he edged closer, he caught her scent.
La Tua Cantata. A singer.
He forced himself to go closer to her. As he approached, she seemed to sense his presence. Her grey eyes, the color of the storm clouds overhead, widened when she saw him. She started to get up.
“Hello,” Alec said to her. “I’m Alec.” Her eyes, though it seemed impossible, got wider when he said her name. She glanced at her work.
“My name is Emiliana,” she said.
“Emiliana. What are you writing?”
She looked nervous as she handed him her tablet. Here’s what was written:
In the ancient room stood three ancient men. Aro, Marcus, Caius. They were part of the governing body of vampires.
Two young vampires, who looked to be about 14 or 15, were led in.
“Jane! Alec!” exclaimed the one called Aro. The other two ancients left to tend to their own business.

Hey, my peeps! Part whatever-it-is-I-think-it's-3 is here!!!!! There is no real plot line I'm following and I can't remember the parts everyone wants, so here goes!

After the emotional scene on the sidewalk, Princess Maddy Bo and the witch named Eileen went back to the castle. Princess Maddy Bo went to talk to her mommy, Queen Madee Awesomeness (OH YEAH! I told you I was coming eventually.). They ate dinner, which was fried Jeffree (It used to be Bill), then Maddy Bo went beck to her room and got into a fight with Eileen because she stole Maddy Bo's idea of using music notes on her signature. They got nice again, and went out to find Prince Joe and kill Jamie.
They walked down the sidewalk and took a right at the mental health building to talk to two insane people. They were Maddy Bo's sister Princess Carrie and her husband Prince Christian. They asked where Prince Joe was, because Princess Carrie could see into the BEYOND:O. Carrie said he was in a cave to the north. So Princess Maddy Bo and the witch named Eileen took a cab to the north.

Oh yeah. Me rocks. And no, before anyone asks (because I know you will) Princess Maddy Bo doesn't have a daddy. Now I get to cross Carrie and Christian off the list. YAY! I think everyone else will live in a tree...

End-I mean, Beginning-Of-The-Year-Story-Debut Part 1

Hey Peoples! Awesomeness is BACK! Like Jack! Only awesomer! Anyway...about 3 months ago in orchestra, I got bored of Loony Toons and started to make a story. Madison, Hope, and Tori helped...and, well, let's just say there will be several parts. It's like an end- I mean, beginning- of the year debut, because you're all didn't forget about me over the summer...YAY! :D There are several hidden messages from Madison to all of you...обладать (enjoy!)!

Once upon a time, there was an evil witch named Eileen who met the princess with the pink dress, the tiara with flowers, and a wand. They became friends and went on a walk. There, they found a baby chocolate lab, who they named Victoria, Tori for short. Maddy Bo (the princess) and Eileen also found a yellow melted crayon named Hope, along with a non-melted crayon named Ryan (hehe) who was blue and her fiance. He was the only one who worked (get it? Nobody seems to until I explain it) They had a green child named Floss. They all set off, and got a bad message.

Today, on the way to the Annex, Hope found a yellow melted crayon. That's why me and Madison made her a melted crayon.

First Day of School!!!!!!!!

Hey Y'all!
So, today was the first day of school. Most of you peeps probably know that. Anyway, we have 3 new peeps in the gifted class, Daniel, Brenna, and Jackson.
Our Science/Social Studies really is kinda a slap in the face after having Mrs. Ginestra for 6th grade. Last year, our teacher was really nice and enthusiastic and just a good teacher. But our current substitute (our real teacher just had a BABY!!!) is all serious and brainy.
Our math teacher is REALLY NICE, which is kinda good since we had a really evil teacher last year.
I'm really going to like our language arts teacher. She talks really fast, but she's nice.
At least I know everyone this year...
I was new to the gifted program. Well, I wasn't new to the program, but I was new in the class. My kindergarten school didn't give the test, but when I was in first grade, I took the test for the first time. Then I took it in second grade, and third grade, and fourth grade...blah blah blah.

Adriana Giurca

This is so depressing. More abuse of the Romanians. Did you know that Anorexia was referred to as the Nadia Syndrome in the 70's, after Nadia Comaneci? I know you couldn't care less, but this is an extremely sad story. This is an article about little Adriana Giurca, an eleven year old Romanian gymnast who was beaten by her coach because she didn't stick a dismount on beam that she never landed. She died hours later.


In Memory of Adriana Giurca, 1982-1993
The training center for Romania's national gymnastics squad, Deva is undoubtedly the best known Romanian gymnastics "factory." It's closest rival is Bucharest's Dinamo Club school. Fans of the movie Nadia may recall that it was the Dinamo club which "stole" all of Karolyi's top athletes after the 1976 Olympics. In 1993, one of Dinamo's promising young athletes was 11-year-old Adriana Giurca.

That November, Adriana was training beam. From the start of the workout, coach Florin Gheorghe was said to be in a bad mood. He demanded that Adriana perform a dismount that she'd seldom been able to complete, and when she stumbled, he exploded. He slapped Adriana, then pounded her head against the balance balance beam. Lying on the floor, he proceeded to kick her. Adriana stumbled to her feet, and was ordered to proceed to the floor mat. When she failed to complete an element from her floor exercise, she was again punched and kicked...then came the bat.... Lying limp on the floor, Adriana was rushed to the hospital. She died that evening.

Even after Adriana died, Gheorghe was not immediately arrested. Although there had been many witnesses, apparently coaches and fellow gymnasts were scared to speak. Finally, one gymnast spoke up. Despite the vivid testimony and photographs, Gheorghe was ordered to pay restitution (in the amount the equivalent to $5,600 US) to Adriana's parents and was sentenced to only eight years in prison. Gheorghe appealed, and the Romanian court relieved him of prison time but insisted on payment. The Giurcas appealed the sentence, and Gheorghe was convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to six years in prison.

The Giurcas also tried to hold the Dinamo Club school responsible for Adriana's death, claiming the school knew of Gheorghe's violent behaviour. Indeed, Adriana would often come home from training sessions badly bruised. Adriana apparently denied any wrongdoings, insisting that she was happy and had been bruised only from falls. Her parents did not believe her, and they arranged a gym change for Adriana - the switch was to occur two weeks following the death....

Gheorghe spent three and a half years in prison, released on parole for "good behaviour." Three years after his release, Gheorghe granted an interview with Gazeta Sporturilor. "...I paid a price too high because I was honest and correct," he told the Romanian newspaper. His plight caught the attention of American journalist Eric Matson, who champions that "Gheorghe did not harm Adriana. Nobody did. Adriana died of an aneurism." Matson refers to Gheorghe as a "victim of political convenience."

Following his release from prison Gheorghe worked to repay the reparations ordered to the Giurca family. He has received offers from other countries, including South Africa, but wants to remain in Romania. Exiled from gymnasiums across Romania, Gheorghe is no longer a part of the sport. He has started his own company dealing with "interior arrangements."

MICHAEL JACKSON DIED!

Michael Jackson, 50, died on Thursday at UCLA hospital in Los Angeles. The self-named King of Pop, he was an inspiration to us all-musically.

Relay For Life...I needed DECAF!!!!!!!!!!!!11!!!!!!

Last night, I did this thing called Relay for Life. It was a fundraiser for cancer. There are, like, teams, and at least one person from your team has to walk around the track. You buy things. Some prices were ridiculous, and some were awesome (BROWNIE CUPCAKES FOR $.25!!!!!!!!!!!) Anyway, I saw several people cry during that Luminary service thingy that was about the people who had lost the battle. Anyway, at about 3:00, me and Pi Corp CEO started to get freezing because our clothes were soaked from just standing under the sprinklers. We decided to see how fast we could run while we were loopy and half awake. It wasn't too bad. Then Pi CEO got the idea of running all the way around the track while I went to the bathroom. In the bathroom, there was a huge spider that I swear was the son/daughter of a wolf spider and a jumping spider. IT WAS ON MY ARM. It was big and furry! I screamed and ran for my life. Apparently Pi CEO's legs were screaming at her. Then the coffee came. It kept us alive. Some girls (Rebecca and Katie) came to sit with us on the bleachers. Katie got a bug on her back, screamed, and dropped her coffee. Then we all screamed. EVERYONE looked at us. We stayed up all night, came to Pi's house, crashed, and slept until noon. Happiness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Point of Life on Earth

Hello, friends from Earth. Celebrate Random Titles with me.
I have recently discovered the point of life on your planet, Earth. It is to listen to the band Madee and Maddy. At least, that's what I think my manager calls it now. I really don't know. Anyway, we haven't recorded anything yet, but we are awesome.

Violin players are the coolest people on earth. That is, if you live there. I don't. I live in Madeesawesome, in the ancient country of St. Madeline (founded in 2007), on the planet Madee, In the galaxy My Imagination. Princess Maddy Bo is the best violinist in my school. And she's in sixth grade.
